What are the main measures to control the noise ?

Release time:2022-05-04    Click:9

The main measures are:

① The energy of sound in propagation is attenuated with the increase of distance, so the noise source is far away from the need for quiet places,

can achieve the purpose of noise reduction.

② The radiation of sound is generally directional, in the same distance from the source but in different directions, the intensity of the received

sound is also different. However, most of the sound source to low-frequency radiation noise, directionality is very poor; with the increase in frequency,

directionality is enhanced. Therefore, controlling the propagation direction of noise (including changing the emission direction of sound sources) is an

effective measure to reduce noise, especially high-frequency noise.

③Establish sound insulation barriers, or utilize natural barriers (earth slopes, hills), as well as utilize other sound insulation materials and sound insulation

structures to block the propagation of noise.

④ Apply sound-absorbing materials and sound-absorbing structures to convert the sound energy of the propagating noise into heat energy, etc.

⑤ Adopt reasonable urban noise prevention planning in urban construction. In addition, take vibration isolation measures for noise generated by solid

vibration to attenuate the propagation of noise.

Protection of receivers

In order to prevent noise from harming people, the following protective measures can be taken:

① Wear ear protectors, such as earplugs, ear muffs, and sound-proof helmets.

② Reduce the exposure time in the noise environment.

③Adjust the staff in the noise environment according to the hearing test results. There is a difference in human hearing sensitivity. Such as working in a

noise environment of 85 decibels, some people will be deaf, while others will not. Hearing tests can be conducted once a year or once every few years to

transfer people with significantly reduced hearing away from the noise environment.

Choice of control measures

Reasonable noise control measures are determined by a comprehensive analysis based on noise control costs, noise tolerance standards, labor productivity

and other relevant factors. In a workshop, if the noise source is a machine or a few machines, and there are more workers in the workshop, generally sound

insulation can be used, the noise reduction effect is 10-30 dB; if there are few workers in the workshop, the cost-effective method is to use ear protectors,

the noise reduction effect is 20-40 dB; if the noise source in the workshop is more and more dispersed, and there are more workers, generally sound-absorbing

measures can be taken to reduce the noise reduction effect is 15-20 dB; if there are not many workers, and there are more workers, and there are more workers,

generally sound absorption measures can be taken to reduce the noise effect is 15-20 dB. If there are not many workers, ear protectors can be used, or sound

insulation rooms can be set up for workers to operate. Machine vibration noise radiation, generally take vibration damping or vibration isolation measures, noise

reduction effect of 5 to 25 dB. If machinery operation makes the floor or wall of the plant vibrate and generate noise radiation, vibration isolation seat or damping

 measures can be used.
